Celebrate God's Presence
We believe we are created for worship that above all glorifies God. Our worship will express the joy of our salvation in a culturally relevant way, without Biblical compromise.
Sundays _ 9:30 am
Through relevant teaching, music, and drama, and the use of multimedia we communicate the timeless message of Jesus Christ in a way that makes sense to 21st century people. Piano, bass, drums, flute, guitars and vocalists lead the music throughout the service. Nursery care is available for children ages birth through two years. We invite and encourage you to come see what God is doing at Thorn Creek!
We are committed to effectively communicating the life-changing power of salvation through Jesus Christ.

I invite you to experience what Jesus called the water of life that flows within and wells up unto eternal life. Come and share with us. You are most welcome here.

Beliefs
We believe in Jesus Chirst.
We believe the testimony of the Bible concerning Jesus:
that he is the Son of God - "Simon Peter answered, 'You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.'" Matthew 16:16
that he is the Son of Man - "For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many." Mark 10:45
that he is the Word of God made flesh - "The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us." John 1:14
that he is the exact representation of God's being - "The Son is the radiance of God's glory and the exact representation of his being." Hebrews 1:3
We profess the good news of Jesus in his life, death, and resurrection. - "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son,
that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." John 3:16
Our faith is rooted in the Bible. - "All scripture is God-breathed and is useful
for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in rightousness." 2 Timothy 3:16
Our faith is expressed in historic creeds (such as the Apostles Creed) and Reformation confessions (such as the Heidelberg Cathechism).
Enabled by the Holy Spirit we strive to be the body of Christ in our times and to fulfill the Great Commission.
- "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit,
and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you." Matthew 28:20
Our Mission & Vision is to:
CELEBRATE God's presence - We believe we are created for Worship that above all glorifies God.
Our Worship will express the joy of our salvation
in a culturally relevant way, without Biblical compromise.
COMMUNICATE the power of Jesus - We are committed to effectively communicate the life-changing power of salvation
through Jesus Christ.
CONNECT to each other - We will connect to each other by being one body in Christ and breaking down walls.
We are committed to provide opportunities
for believers to grow in their love for one another.
COMMIT to grow - We are committed to grow in the knowledge and love of God both as individuals
and as a body of believers.
COMMISSION to serve - We are committed to all members actively serving the Lord
through the use of each one's talent(s) and spiritual gift(s).
Pastor Tom Archer: In His Own Words
"As a teen I responded to the gospel of Jesus Christ and that has made all the difference in my life.
I love studying and preaching the Bible. Betsy and I have been married for 21 years; along with our four children, she keeps me down to earth. I look forward to leading Thorn Creek in its mission of celebrating God's presence, communicating the power of Jesus, connecting to each other, committing to grow, and commissioning to serve."
