NEW LIFE SENIORS
The New Life Seniors is hosted by Thorn Creek Reformed Church and draws its membership from several churches in the community. Organized in 1990, the organization’s purpose is to cultivate the spiritual, educational and social interests of its members through meetings featuring guest speakers and by taking short trips to places of interest.
The New Life Seniors meet approximately once each month for a meeting or trip. Some of the activities over the past year included representatives from the Bible League sharing their work and experiences in Ghana, Africa; a Health Fair sponsored by a group of nurses; a lecture by a Naturalist from the Indiana Dunes Learning Center. Trips were taken to the Shrine of Christ’s Passion in St. John, Indiana; a boat trip on the old I & M Canal where mules once pulled freight barges along the canal banks from foot paths and a trip to the Munster Performing Arts Center to see “The Christmas Schooner”.
Anyone interested in attending the New Life Senior meetings may contact the church office for dates and time.
