In passage after passage, especially during the crucial and challenging times of life, the biblical authors refer to our God as their tried and true “rock.” That is a point and a characteristic quality that we affirm, too: our God indeed is our Rock.

So we want this group really to find and enter into the presence of the Rock. We want Him to surround us. Together, we want to come and discover in Him a place of rest and revitalization—a place of protection, where we can be re-equipped in order to be sent back out. The Cove is a place formed by the Rock, within the Rock, that gets us ready again to handle our everyday tasks and travels.
